Top 16 (Girls' Night)

Thank goodness American Idol is only an hour long because I have studying to do tonight!

*KATIE STEVENS
The arrangement seems a little faster than it ought to be, and she has trouble keeping up. It was still kinda anti-climactic, but she succeeded in acting somewhat her age. It was average anyway. And she was eight years old when Kelly Clarkson won.

*SIOBHAN MAGNUS
I always laugh at the way she sort of slurs when she talks. I really like the way she started a capella, because I appreciate theatrics like that. And she has some NICE legs. Some of the high notes seemed a little screechy, but I think it's forgiveable because it was a good performance. I agree that it was a little dark, as SImon said, but I did think there was a moment there.

*LACEY BROWN
Oh dear goodness. This girl and her helium voice, and trying to make bedroom eyes at the camera. But she has very scary eyes, and if she tried to make prolonged eye contact with me, I'd splash holy water on her. And I don't like her at all. Simon's not even looking at her while she's performing, because she's just sitting there. I'd like those two minutes of my life back, Lacey.

*KAITLYNN EPPERLY
I actually really like the vibe of this performance, but it was a little boring with her behind the keyboard the whole time. I think her vocals were the strongest so far. But I agree, it was a little boring.

*DIDI BENAMI
I think she's the singer that Lacey Brown is trying to be. She just seems so much more effortless and natural. She's one of my faves, actually. I know she's definitely not the best, but I like her a lot.

*PAIGE MILES
She looks terrified and awkward. And she sounds like she's about to pee her pants. Well, I'd be scared too after the judges gave Didi so much praise. But she's terrible tonight, so terible that I can do nothing but laugh. And now she's using her emotion as an excuse.

*CRYSTAL BOWERSOX
I...actually am not a fan of this performance. It doesn't seem that strong to me. It sounds like all of her other performances. I mean, I like the song itself, but if she didn't dress like an edgy bohemian person, they wouldn't rave about her so much.

*LILLY SCOTT
Strange, STRANGE woman. Weird diction. Terrible posture. That's all.

My choices to go away tonight are Lacey and Paige. Obvious, isn't it?
