UPDATE - Typhoon Ondoy

Just an update, even if you guys are tired of hearing. I don't think we can stress enough how important it is to care about your fellow man (not just in the Philippines, but anywhere else.)

The death toll is confirmed at 140 and rising, people are still waiting on food, medicine, and other kinds of humanitarian aid.

Just passing the word - there are a lot of people out there who are trying to take advantage of others' misfortune in the Philippines by pretending to represent charitable organizations, asking for donations, and pocketing the money for themselves.

This is despicable. I'd like to come face to face with more of these people and punch them myself.

Please, please take the time to confirm that you are donating to a legitimate organization. Here are some for those of us in the States, from a consolidated list I found online...
