Typhoon Ondoy

I know I haven't blogged in a while - life has been SO hectic lately, most of blogs that have gone up at all have been about my personal life, which can consequently be viewed on at http://vickifyme.tumblr.com/ .

Anyway, this blog will be slightly brief and comes with the promise that I will try to be an active current events blogger again sometime soon.

For those of you not up to date with current events in the Philippines, the country has just been hit by a devastating typhoon yesterday. The rains have flooded out entire towns, and the death toll when all is said and done is projected to be over 100, with tens of thousands of others displaced from their homes.

The following is the site for the Philippine National Red Cross - a lot of people are struggling. Even as I'm typing this, many are still missing, or stranded on the rooftops on their homes which are almost completely submerged in water.
