American Idol Top 5 (Results)

This week's Ford music video is pretty lame, but I'm excited that Natalie Cole is singing. The group number actually seems live this week - but Allison's voice just doesn't seem to be suited to the not transitions that go into jazz music.

and to waste a bit of time in this show, we're going to...bake a cake! And of course, since this is reality television, we are obliged to throw it willy-nilly at one another.

Today, we are probably going to play the game were they divide four contestants into two pairs and make the fifth person pick a side! And our lucky fifth guy is ADAM!

I've been watching Idol for how many seasons? I called this tactic. :P But thanks to SOME PEOPLE, they ruined that Adam is in the bottom 3 for me.

Anyway, SEE! They did pull the "pick a group" thing. Adam got a little cocky there! And Allison and Danny look like they just got the air knocked out of them.

In any case, I like the diversity of our group this year, whichever way this goes. It's definitely not the best season ever, but it's definitely got something for every taste. Well, almost every taste.

My bottom TWO last night would have definitely been Matt and Allison as I said yesterday.

Now, here's Natalie Cole - her father is my musical HERO. I think this song would have been more effective with a male singer. She just doesn't seem to have the energy to perform, though perhaps it may have to with her recently revealed health concerns. I'm really touched by the fact that when her fans heard, many of her fans offered to donate a kidney to her in her time of need.

So before our commercial break, we pan over to the boys back stage pointing fingers at one another - "You're going home." "Nah, HE'S going home!"

Now, here is Taylor Hicks. I hate Taylor Hicks. I'm tuning out for this performance.

Anyway, Kris is safe! This makes me smile. :)

I don't really want to hear "Blame It" on American Idol. This makes me annoyed. The show is going downhill. How is that the number one song in America.

So after scaring the crap out of Adam, we find out that Matt is going home - no more saves this time! This really does make me sad, seeing him go. He seems like such a sweet guy, and the musical style he has is really classy. And with a surname like "Giraud" - c'mon. That's attractive. I felt he deserved to go this week, but I would have preferred Allison to go. Anyway, I'll still be a fan. He had an amazing run.
