Well, there's one semester down - today was the beginning of my second semester in college, haha. I'm a bit miffed that I might be stuck in schoo until I'm 23 or 24 because of of admissions for nursing, but I guess I can take things one step at a time. You gotta do what you gotta do.
Back to the present!
Well, I'm cramping like heck, so I wasn't in the best mood ever. I get to my Speech class - it's alright. Nothing too amazing - it might get better though, you know? I have to find my textbooks for it, which is an absolute pain, because the teachers didn't put booklists up ahead of time. Grr. Anyway...
Three hour break - not eventful at all. Saw a couple familiar faces around the bungalows, which was cool. Still incredibly boring, but what can you do? I'm probably gonna add some class to fill up that time.
I think Nelson (my English teacher) is a bit loony. Crazy black woman with dreds, and she was late to her first class. And we have to email her to ask for a syllabus. The class material is a lot like AP English with Vanek, except this class is much slower, and Nelson is a million times less professional. Have to start reading East of Eden - ugh, now I wish my group had read it junior year, I'd have an upper hand, haha.
Nutrition class is kickaaaaasssssss, for real! Tran is amazing. Plus, I read ahead and answered her questions, so I established myself as the smart kid in class.
Ok.
Maybe that's not so great.
But I've come to terms with the fact that I can't help being the smartie sometimes. I've always stuck out like a sore thumb, whether I meant to or not, so at least if I stick out here, it's on my terms and no one else's.
Sociology tomorrow - here's hoping it'll be fun!
And stupid identity theft protection crap. $12.99 a month from mine & Erik's bank account, pissing the fuck out of me! (Of course, it's not the only thing that pisses me off right now, but that's a story for another blog. Hee!)
Cheers, lovies. =)
