American Idol Top 12

Okay. It's a little cheesy how they open the show with the contestants all lined up in the dim dramatic lights. They look like they're getting ready to face the firing squad, which in all honestly, quite a few of them very well should because they're that bad.

I'm prepared for some acoustic/reggae butchering of the Rolling Stones' music tonight, aren't you?!

*MICHAEL LYNCHE
The audition-born baby is such a doll! I think I'll give him a couple of votes tonight just for that. He sort of reminds me of the guy from the Green Mile - but I like Mike Lynche much better than RUben Studdard. He has TONS more personality, and I love that he hops into the air when he sings. That's HARD when you're singing properly. He reminds me of a big, cuddly... penguin! My grandma likes him too.

*DIDI BENAMI
I actually liked this, because I like the song, but it doesn't fit her at all; it's such a bad guy/girl song. But I still liked it, and it had a whole lot of personality.

*CASEY JAMES
It strikes me as the opening act for a concert, but I'm not that blown away - I think it's because he's really still. He doesn't have very much stage presence.

*LACEY BROWN
I seriously have a bone to pick with this girl. I hate her face, I hate her speaking voice. She constantly sounds drunk, which would be very inappropriate considering she's part of a church family. This strings at the beginning are cheesy sounding. Her voice is weak and she can't sustain a note. The way her voice lurches when there's a jump in notes, it sounds like she's vomiting.

*ANDREW GARCIA
His dad thought he was going to be a custodian because he used to like to collect keys. Anyway. Bored. He's even more yawn-inducing without his guitar

*KATIE STEVENS
She seems like a sweet girl, which I've said quite a few times, and I think she has the strongest voice out of all the girls, honestly. I agree she could use a lot of work discovering herself.

*TIM URBAN
He's cute, and he's endorsed by VFTW. His song confuses me. But the colors of the lights are very appropriate. Because this is now reggae.

*SIOBHAN MAGNUS
Nice boots. And "Paint It Black" is actually a really predictable choice for her. Indifferent. I don't really care for her money notes. It's just all so overdone. Le sigh. That money notes was actually ugly and screechy. She's much more endearing with her glasses.

*LEE DEWYZE
Snugglepuss is purple. Just thought you'd like to know. And he's a cutie, so I think I shall now call him Snugglepuss. And HOLY CRAP! He's... actually singing the right notes. And his eyes are pretty. Is there time for me to take a cold shower.

*PAIGE MILES
Neutral. Not as bad as last week.

*AARON KELLY
New hair! He's walking around and trying to connect a little, at least, but I can stil feel him quivering. He's doing a good job of covering up his nerves. He's just... not looking at the audience. His voice is stable though.

*CRYSTAL BOWERSOX
"You can't Always Get What You Want" makes me think of Glee now, it can't be helped. I actually am not a huge fan of Crystal's voice. It's pleasant, but it's not something I'd pay to listen to.

I still would give Lacey Brown the boot tonight. PUKE-tastic.
