The part I don't like about tonight? I have to see Anoop an Lil Rounds again. But I like that they're bringing back medleys. I've always loved this part of the finale. Jasmine Murray cracked on her section of the song, and Danny Gokey matched the frames of his glasses to the ensemble. This reminds me a lot of the Season 2 finale where RUben and Clay were in all white, singing "One Voice" with Kelly Clarkson.
David Cook is here tonight - is this taped? David Cook and David Archuleta were in the Philippines last time I checked. Cookie looks a bit skinnier. Must be the price of fame.
No finale is complet without the bad audition montage.
Wil Kunick's performance of "Mad World" is almost as entertaining as Adams. Michael Gurr is killing Carrie Underwood in the audience. And NORMAN GENTLE! Man, that guy. Of course Nick/Norman gets the award - complete with the sparkly shirt, who wants "perch" behind the judges' table.
Seacrest should rock the glasses and sweatband more often.
Lil Rounds and Queen Latifah. Hm. Obvious weave. Indifferent. Lil is making a really ugly thizz face.
I'm mad at Alexis and Anoop for messing up "I'm Yours", thank goodness that Jason Mraz here.
Kris's humility hasn't changed this entire time, and that's refreshing. And that smile! Gah! I like Keith Urban - not as in being attracted, but as a musician. "Kiss A Girl" is a very Kris-ish song.
And now, some Fergie by our ladies. Megan can't do this. Lil is wearing a tutu made of feathers. This is the second time Fergie's performed "Big Girls Don't Cry" on American Idol.

Bikini Girl, best attitude? Crazy bipolar girl who tried to make a turnaround and failed. I don't remember Tiffany Shedd that well. Did she just sing, "Because of you, I learned to pee on the safe side --"
Of course, Katrina comes out in her bikini. Ryan got smooched, and is speechless. Someone hold Kara down, she's going to sing. OH SNAP THERE SHE IS! Admittedly, as obnoxious as Kara is, she is a great singer. ZOMGDOUBLEBIKINI! All for donating money to charity. Good on you, Kara. I cracked up at Katrina's attempt to do riffs in the background. First of all, Kara wins because I don't like Mariah Carey and all the riffs to begin with. Also. I don't like Katrina's face.
Allison Iraheta and Cyndi Lauper. Cyndi is playing a...uhm...sort of type of instrument. In a good, interesting way, this reminds me of a stoner jam session.
Danny Gokey singing Hello - he's done this before, and I don't get tired of it. And here's Lionel Richie!
Anyway, I don't know if it's the microphones, or the Idol judges editing the sound, or if it's reality - but Adam's cheers sound much louder. What on earth is on his shoulders? Is he Edward Scissorhands or something? Anyway - it's KISS! It's so weird, because I always think Broadway when I see Adam, no matter how much he rocks out. Adam definitely gives them a run for their money on stage. Adam's stage, the Gene Simmons tongue, more of Adam's pelvic thrusts - this performance was definitely a first.
Matt Giraud and Carlos Santana! Aaand everyone else singing "Cool" - Jorge scares me. Kris, as usual, is wonderful. Why isn't Adam wearing that much red? The final Ford Music video is sweet. I feel like this group of Idols got really close.
Megan, Mike Sarver, and...Steve Martin? The song is cute, but that is SO...out of nowhere.
Tatiana for Outstanding Female of course. Let her stay onstage, people. I want to laugh at her some more.
Kris and Adam are the Champions! Woot! They really do seem to be friends, whether it's all a show or not. Maybe Adam has a crush on Kris. Simon thinks they're both incredibly nice people, and supposedly actually means it. Le Gasp.

I think I'm gonna cry - and he's so sweet about it - and since when do we have a trophy?! And "No Boundaries" sounds so much better now because he gets the backgrounds singers - did he just almost fall?
