The fact that not only can some guys not take a hint, they're incapable of just being friends with a female. It pisses me off that people nowadays won't even be polite and treat a woman like a lady if there's no chance for them to get laid out of it.
I'm VERY open about the fact that I'm married. I don't do anything to hide it - I don't throw it into the first sentence of every conversation, but you can take me at my word when I say that the first opportunity I get to mention Erik in a conversation, he gets mentioned. Because I feel like it. Because I don't deal with people's games like that.
But am I completely wrong for thinking it's messed up that chivalry gets thrown aside when a guy doesn't stand a chance of banging the girl? Sorry, but I think it'd be polite for people to still hold doors for me when I have my hands full with my bag and textbooks. I think it'd still be polite to ask me which floor I'd like to get off on in the elevator when I'm on the opposite side from the buttons.
I think it's pathetic that so many males out there only do polite things for females because they're hoping to get laid. You know what sums this up? A quote from the source of all wisdom. Chick flicks.
"No man can be friends with a woman he finds attractive. He always wants to have sex with her."
"So, you're saying that a man can be friends with a woman he finds unattractive?"
"No, you pretty much want to nail them too."- When Harry Met Sally
