American Idol - Group Night 3

Von Smith reminds me of the one boy in High School Musical - anyway, he's trying too hard not to scream, I like him better when he's loud. The verses are choppy, but the chorus is nice.

Taylor Vaifanua does NOT look like a high school student. She's a little annoying when she sings - and she hops around a little too much for the pace of the music. And she's wearing those tacky shiny leggings. It's prety much just a boring performance.

Alex Wagner-Trugman has a very Napoleon Dynamite vibe to him. But he started going to the gym! "I'm very weak..." I like the song he chose, and I find him strangely cute. I liked that performance, actually. He wasn't a vocal dynamo, but it was interesting. The growling was eh.

Arianna Afsar - I remember thinking she was adorable! And singing Abba. She made it a little too much of her own. The runs were so out of place, and she had this blank look on her face the whole time. She'd be good without all those runs.

Ju'not Joyner, the one with the kid! Singing 'Hey There Delilah', which actually means a lot to me. This is such a slow arrangement. He has a good voice, but the way this song was set up? Nope.

Kristin MacNamara, who bears a slight resemblance to Mena Suvari, has really exaggerated facial expressions, but I honestly adore her voice. She has a huge mouth.

Nathaniel Marshall, the flamboyant one. And those gross icky piercings. His face annoys me. He's tripping me out even more than Danny Noriega singing 'Tainted Love.' It's just awkward and silly. Too fabulous, sweetie. Please stop.

Felicia Barton didn't jive with me. She has a good voice - oops, cracked! I'm bored.

Here's Scott MacIntyre - I really like him a lot. His voice is nice. And he's got unique song selection. He'd probably be more comfortable with his keyboard, but I liked this performance a whole bunch.

Kendall Beard is cheesy and just plastic. But I think we need someone to represent the country music fans. But there were some good country-esque performers this season, where'd they go?

Jorge Nunez with the accent! Taking a page out of Clay Aiken's book, singing "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me." Very good vocally, technically sound - he can just work on the presentation and the package.

And finally, Lil Rounds, who I've always been neutral about. I like her song, and it's good, but I'm not engaged. The crowd seems to be - maybe it's just the fact that the show is so long, I don't have the energy to be overly interested.
