Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber night! There's absolutely no sarcasm in me saying that this is AWESOME. I'm excited to see what they're able to do - I have way more respect for Andrew Lloyd Webber than I do for Mariah Carey. GAG ME. Anyway, just looking at the top 6, they're so diverse stylewise and still aesthetically pleasing. It's a good year - I'm not apathetic about the show anymore.
OMGAHHHHANDREWLLOYDWEBBERAHHHH! He's a real mentor for the finalists, because he really KNOWS music. I'm happy.

Haha, Webber said "bring the house down." That was funny. Anyway, as far as the singing - her diction bothered me, and she sounded like she had a bit of a cold, but I really think she had a lot of charisma, regardless of the sporadic off notes. She just seemd very comfortable with the thetrical style, I can see her getting a role on Broadway. Contemporary? No - but she showed charisma and energy out the ass.
Jason Castro~
Haha, he's so interesting - I loved his interview. "I didn't know a cat was singing it." But his voice sounded so much like Danny Zuko, appropriate because he looks like John Travolta. His singing's a little breathy but that's just him - I liked the lighting, and I think he really has this sort of voice that belongs in the same genre as Ryan Cabrera. It was interesting, but it was odd.
Brooke White~
It's really powerful to see her actually learn the meaning behind "You Must Love Me." That mess-up was kinda...eh. It wasn't charming like her usual awkward moments are. I actually don't like her this week, she actually seems really whny and pitiful when she's singing this song, because it's way too big for her.
David Archuleta~
He seemed so bashful when the girls all hugged him. And "Think of Me" is such an amazing song, I'm a big Phantom fan - and I think his arrangement was amazing. I actually cried - no joke. It just seemed so credible as a song OFF Broadway, I really liked it. I'm just speechless. I'm AMAZED.
Carly Smithson~
Thank you for not singing "All I Ask of You" because you would have killed it. I really liked it until I looked at her - it wasn't all too memorable as a vocal performance, and I think she's taken to dressing really skanky.
David Cook~
More Phantom! Yay! Music of the Night! Sexy song! But oh my god, he's not going hardcoe with the bad - out of respect for Sir Andrew, probably. It actually won me over when he looked right into the camera. And "let your soul take you where you long to be" - I didn't know he had that in him, and it was gorgeous. Gorgeous! Tonight belonged to the Davids!
